Owner and Director of Operations for St. Louis Protection Security Service
Eichel R. Johnson is the Owner and Director of Operations for St. Louis Protection Security Service. He has enjoyed an extensive career in the security and law enforcement industry. Fueled by his passion for people, he began a career in the security industry in the early 1980’s. It was then that he realized that making people feel safe and secure was something he wanted to pursue with more zeal.
Eichel began his career with St. Louis University as a Public Safety Officer. There, he worked in a variety of assignments, to include patrol officer, bike officer and later was assigned to the Robbery-Auto Theft Division.
While working for St. Louis University, Eichel attended training at the St. Louis Municipal Police Academy, where he completed several continuing education classes in Community Emergency Response, Specialized Security Force Training, Internal Affairs Training and Weapons of Mass Destruction Responder Awareness, among others.
Completing his career, Eichel also worked as a Part-time Campus Police Officer for St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley and was a Reserve Officer for a local police department.
After retiring, Eichel decided to use his years of experience and training to launch his own security company. St. Louis Protection Security Service was born, and even in its infancy stage, Eichel knew that he did not want his company to be the average security company, but one that mirrored his own career – diverse and purpose driven. So, while he provides security officers for a wide array of clients, he also provides personal safety training, personal security products, a VIP Escort Service, and background investigations. Eichel hopes to add a variety of other services, as his company expands. He is also a certified NRA instructor and hosts Firearm Safety classes and CCW permit classes.
In his spare time, Eichel enjoys racing his 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, which he rebuilt himself. He enjoys attending local antique and custom car shows and finds an evening at the race track very relaxing.
Eichel is also an ordained minister, with two adult sons, two adult daughters, and a 15 year old daughter. He and his wife, Tracey, share a home in Florissant, Missouri.
